A Coffee Lover’s Guide: My Ranking of Every Chobani Creamer

Writer's picture: Samantha MixSamantha Mix
When choosing how to sweeten up your coffee, the market is anything but under-saturated. From zero-sugar options to dairy-free delights and an endless variety of flavors, there’s truly something for everyone. But if you’re like me, finding the perfect creamer is a journey of trial, error, and lots of coffee.

Chobani entered the creamer market in 2019, and it’s fair to say they’ve taken the industry by storm. Known for their yogurt, their entry into creamers might have surprised some—but for me, they’ve become the only creamers I reach for. With two lines of creamers and over ten flavors, I’ve tasted them all to bring you the ultimate ranking.
I’ll be judging each flavor based on three criteria: flavor, sweetness, and how often I’d reach for it.

The Rankings

12. Sugar-Free Salted Caramel

Sadly, the sugar-free options land at the bottom of my list. While I often use sugar alternatives in baking, the stevia notes in this creamer overwhelmed my coffee, and the flavor fell flat compared to its sugar-added counterpart.

11. Sugar-Free Vanilla

The same issue applies here—despite my love for vanilla, the sugar-free version lacked the rich, sweet undertones I was hoping for.

10. Apple Pie (Untested)

This seasonal flavor sounds delicious, but since I haven’t had the chance to try it, I can’t rank it higher. Based on the description alone, I imagine it would evoke warm autumn vibes with hints of cinnamon and apple.

9. Hazelnut

Hazelnut fans, this one’s for you. The nutty flavor reminds me of Thanksgiving and pairs beautifully with espresso when frothed with milk. However, I found the hazelnut notes a bit artificial—leaning more "scented candle" than natural.

8. Caramel Macchiato

While caramel is a classic coffee addition, this creamer leaned too sweet for my taste. The caramel flavor came across as artificial, which surprised me given Chobani’s commitment to real cream and milk.

7. White Chocolate Mocha

This creamer strikes a better balance between sweetness and flavor. The mocha notes help round out the profile, making it versatile for any coffee style. It’s enjoyable but not a standout.

6. Coffee Cake

I expected bold, cinnamon-forward notes, but this creamer left me wanting more focus. The flavor was pleasant but leaned closer to a “cinnamon sugar donut” vibe. Great for dessert lattes or afternoon coffee, but not something I’d reach for every morning.

5. Vanilla

Vanilla is the ultimate neutral—it doesn’t disappoint, but it also doesn’t excite. It pairs well with any coffee blend and is a solid go-to, though I’d choose Sweet Cream over this most days.

4. Sweet Cream

This classic flavor is exactly what you’d expect: smooth, rich, and perfectly balanced. It’s reminiscent of Starbucks’ sweet cream and blends seamlessly with any coffee. While it’s a must-have, it lands in fourth because my top three are more unique.

3. Pumpkin Spice

A seasonal favorite, this creamer delivers everything you want in a pumpkin spice latte. Aromatic spices and just the right amount of sweetness make it the perfect fall companion. I always reach for this in October.

2. Peppermint Mocha

This holiday favorite is pure magic. The chocolate flavor is rich without being overly sweet, and the refreshing peppermint makes every sip feel festive. It’s like bringing a Starbucks peppermint mocha to your kitchen, and it never fails to put me in a holiday mood.

1. Cookie Dough

The champion of creamers, Cookie Dough, is unlike anything I’ve ever tried. It’s not overly sweet, and the flavor captures the nostalgic essence of milk after dunking a chocolate chip cookie. Whether in a latte, iced coffee, or cold brew foam, this creamer shines every time.

Final Thoughts

Chobani has redefined the creamer game with their innovative flavors and commitment to quality. While some flavors didn’t quite hit the mark for me, the top contenders have earned a permanent spot in my coffee routine.
